The Ford Fiesta was one of Ford’s most popular lines, and the MK8 Fiesta ST-Line was introduced to offer the same sporty drive and look as the hotter Fiesta ST without the high running costs associated, thanks to its frugal 1.0L EcoBoost engine.
Ok, so it may not have as much power as its ‘ST’ big brother or be as exciting to drive as a result, but it’s proven popular with a younger Fiesta fan base, and that’s reason enough not to ignore making parts for it.
The suspension bushes are shared between models, but the 1.0L EcoBoost engine and 5-speed gearbox use different engine/trans mounts, so this week we are releasing PFF19-2231 Upper Gearbox Mount Insert for the cast aluminium housing.
Made in our Yellow 70A durometer material, it fills the upper and lower voiding of the soft OE rubber mount to restrict transmission roll, restoring on/off throttle responsiveness and sharpening gear changes.
It is also the perfect accompaniment for our PFF19-2225 Lower and PFF19-2240 Upper Engine Mount Inserts for significantly improved control and precision.
PFF19-2231 also fits the Ford Ecosport (2012 on) with the 1.0L EcoBoost engine.
